For this senior role, we are looking for an experienced professional who combines strong operational skills with commercial awareness and the ability to guide a team in a dynamic international environment.
- You have a minimum of HBO level of thinking and working (bachelor’s level).
- You have experience with deep-sea transport, preferably within a trading environment.
- You possess strong operational and commercial skills.
- You are fluent in English; a second foreign language is considered a plus.
- You are a natural coach who can support and guide junior and medior colleagues while keeping processes under control.
- You live in de region Breda in the Netherlands
In addition, you are proactive, resilient under pressure, and willing to go the extra mile during busy periods.

Wat ga jij doen
As Operations Manager, you are responsible for organizing and optimizing international sea freight transports. You maintain oversight of the entire process, make adjustments when needed, and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating and monitoring international sea freight shipments from warehouse or port to port for customers worldwide.
- Booking shipments with freight forwarders and shipping lines and following them up until arrival.
- Managing and checking shipment files and export documentation such as BLs, L/Cs, and Incoterms.
- Maintaining close contact with freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Requesting and analyzing sea freight rates, negotiating pricing and additional costs.You will also identify trends in loading locations and destinations and use these insights to negotiate more competitive freight rates and improve logistics performance.
